OUR TEAM

Dave Klassen - President
Dave was born and raised in a small farming community near Glenbush in north central
Saskatchewan. His construction skills have been ‘inherited’ from generations of craftsmen and carpenters.

Initially, working as a team, he and his brother Ron built residential and commercial structures and undertook renovation work. In 1999 Agrecomm Construction was formed by Dave and his wife, Debby. Over the years they have established a strong reputation for quality workmanship and service to their clients.

After 25 years of working in the construction business as well operating a grain and cattle farm Dave and Debby relocated to Osoyoos in 2005. Dave worked for other construction companies, as well as doing renovations and deficiencies, until he re-established his own construction business in the community.

Agrecomm Construction has flourished, garnering new clients through recommendation
and word of mouth and establishing a reputation for talent and creativity.

“For me, it’s the challenge of creating something from the very beginning, working closely with
customers and making wonderful friends along the way ….... I enjoy my profession!”

Debby Klassen – Office Administrator
Prior to moving to Osoyoos, Debby worked in their local School Division Office and later was employed by the Credit Union where she worked her way up to a management position. Debby enjoys the customer contact part of the business as well as the administration desk duties. She more than willingly passed the bookkeeping desk over in 2010 to Susan Hodge of Sage Bookkeeping. "One of the best administrative decisions that I have ever made!"

"Dave and I visited Osoyoos while on vacation and totally fell in love with it - the beautiful location, scenery and climate just got into our hearts and kept calling us back until we decided to make Osoyoos our permanent home in 2005. We have met wonderful friends, clients and business contacts who have all contributed to the success of Agrecomm Construction in the Okanagan!"

Don Halverson
Don has two daughters and lives on Anarchist Mountain in Osoyoos where he has worked with his parents on their organic garlic farm for the last 10 years. Don started working in 2007 with Agrecomm Construction's skilled management and crew and has logged over 7,000 workplace hours which will be applied towards his process of becoming a Journeyman Carpenter.

He has successfully completed two Schluter Systems waterproofing workshops. Don also plans on commencing construction of his own new home this year - in his spare time!

"Dave and Debby are great bosses .... we have a strong, solid team that works very well together."

Jeff Pattison
In 2008, Jeff moved from Edmonton to Osoyoos where he used his 25 years of certified carpentry skills to build two custom homes. In early 2010 Jeff joined Agrecomm Construction where he has had the opportunity to use his creativity on home finishing as well as the opportunity to work with high quality timbers.

"Great team environment - everyone likes to try new challenges!"

Malcolm Walter
Malcolm moved to Osoyoos from Vancouver Island in 2007. His wife's employment as a pharmacist brought him here but he says that the Osoyoos weather kept him here!

He is a 4th year apprentice and is about to receive his Carpentry Certification. He has 2 1/2 years of trade school education as well as a business degree from the Royal Road University in Victoria.

Malcolm has been a great asset to Agrecomm Construction since 2009.

Craig Piper
Craig was born in Dawson Creek and moved to Osoyoos with his family in 2000.

Craig worked in the restaurant business prior to joining the Agrecomm team in May of 2011. He has completed his first year of carpentry apprenticeship and will also be going to school in early 2012.
